We Love lake Street

The WeLoveLakeStreet recovery fund began as a response to the uprising in Minneapolis following the murder of George Floyd. The Squarespace sister site has raised over $10,000,000 to support a central corridor of predominantly BIPOC owned businesses since it launched on May 28, 2020. This project was in addition to building an updated site for The Lake Street Council organization behind We Love Lake Street.
On Thursday, May 28th, the initial idea was to display fundraising efforts with a thermometer, with $50,000 as the fundraising goal …
… we quickly realized that the little thermometer was not going to cut it.
The We Love Lake Street recovery fund has now raised over $11,000,000 from over 70,000 donors.
